PANTOTHENIC ACID

PANTOTENIC ACID is one of the groups of B vitamins, often called vitamin B5. It is an organic compound necessary for many metabolic processes of the body. Pantothenic acid acts as a precursor to coenzyme A. It is essential for many biochemical reactions, such as the synthesis of lipids, steroid hormones and cholesterol. It is also an important component in the process of glucose oxidation in cells. Also participates in the synthesis of hemoglobin.
