4-HYDROXYISOLEUCINE

4-HYDROXYISOLEUCINE – obtained from fenugreek seeds, 4-hydroxy-isoleucine is an amino acid that is not found in mammalian tissues. It has the ability to modulate insulin function. Insulin is an essential anabolic hormone. It plays an active role in the process of metabolizing carbohydrates, fatty acids and proteins. Its powerful anabolic potential is used in bodybuilding. Its effects can be modified by changes in diet, physical activity and the use of certain supplements. 4-Hydroxyisoleucine on the one hand increases insulin secretion (in a glucose-dependent manner) by acting on pancreatic beta cells. On the other hand, 4-hyroxy-isoleucine sensitizes muscle tissue to the effects of this hormone. Thanks to this, it is able to counteract insulin resistance and have an antidiabetic effect. The use of supplements containing 4-hydroxy-isoleucine has a beneficial effect on the transport of ingredients such as glucose, amino acids and creatine to myocytes (muscle cells), thereby increasing muscle anabolism, and also because the use of these supplements reduces the availability of glucose for adipocytes (fat cells).

Dosage: from 50 to 300 milligrams per day.
