SPIRULINA is a microscopic algae with the scientific name Arthrospira platensis. Due to its exceptional nutritional value and health properties, spirulina is often classified as a superfood. It is a rich source of protein, vitamins (e.g. B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E), minerals (iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium), as well as essential fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6). In addition, it contains chlorophyll, which has antioxidant and detoxifying properties.
