P-AMINOBENZOIC ACID

P-AMINOBENZOIC ACID known as PABA, is an organic chemical compound from the group of aminobenzoates. It occurs naturally in foods, including liver, eggs, soy and cereals. It can also be synthesized in the body from folic acid. PABA is often used in cosmetics as a component of UV filtering, as it has the ability to absorb UVB radiation. It can also act as a coenzyme in metabolic processes in the body, such as fatty acid synthesis.

With regard to athletes, PABA is not considered a key component of the diet. It has no direct effect on efficiency, strength or regeneration of the body after training. However, PABA is often used in dietary supplements as an ingredient affecting the health of the skin, hair and nails. This is especially important for athletes who are often exposed to skin damage associated with intense training and exposure to UV radiation.

Dosage: 500-1500 mg per day.
