L-LEUCINE

L-LEUCINE is one of the basic branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), along with L-isoleucine and L-valine. It is an exogenous amino acid, i.e. the body is not able to synthesize it on its own and must receive it from food or supplementation. L-leucine is a key amino acid for muscle development because it stimulates protein synthesis and inhibits their breakdown. It is thanks to this amino acid that our muscles gain mass and strength. In addition, it can improve endurance and muscle recovery after training.

L-leucine can be particularly beneficial for people who train on an empty stomach or perform high-intensity workouts, because it allows you to maintain blood glucose levels and prevents muscle catabolism, i.e. their breakdown. It also affects the production of growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1), which are important for muscle development and recovery.

Dosage: 2 to 5 grams per day.
