GLYCINE

GLYCINE – is one of the 22 amino acids that are necessary for protein synthesis. Since it is an endogenous amino acid, the human body has the ability to produce it on its own. It is also a neurotransmitter that has an inhibitory effect on nerve impulses. Some studies indicate that consuming about 3 grams of this amino acid before going to bed increases sleep quality. It has also been suggested that it affects the formation of growth hormone, which means that it can significantly speed up any regeneration processes. Glycine is also a precursor to creatine. It performs a function in the production of bile acids and heme. This amino acid is essential for the production of glutathione, which is a powerful antioxidant. Glycine is rarely found as a monopreparation. It is usually a component of growth hormone boosters, peri-workout stacks or sleep supplements.
